Quickbooks is a finance management software package which first developed into maturity in the mid to late 1990s, and by the year 2000 was establishing itself firmly as a leader in tax management and other related financial tasks, offering both "Basic" and "Pro" versions. Primarily aimed toward and used by small business owners with little to no knowledge of the financial side of business management; Quickbooks' well engineered interface and logically oriented organization made financial management relatively intuitive, and certainly simplified.

I have to admit I'm no computer geek. When something goes wrong, I usually have to call someone to fix it and it costs me a lot of money. When my computer started to experience random freezes, I just used Regtask and now it works normally again.

My computer is 5 years old and runs extremely slow now. I was a bit sceptical about using Regtask, but just decided to give it a shot in the end and it worked out fantastically for me.

As one would expect, a lot of data goes into the user's profile, from receipt values to purchase order numbers and of course much more. When one's complete business finance records are on a computer, data loss can be devastating, and unfortunately is inevitably an occasional occurrence in the computing experience of every user who spends enough time on their computer. This should be taken into account by anyone whose livelihood is dependent upon that data. The best way to provide one's self with insurance against such an occurrence is to use redundancy to your advantage by making backups of your important files. Being well designed and refined, Quickbooks has anticipated this scenario and integrated an automatic backup function into their software suite. Indeed what QBB stands for in this case is "QuickBooks Backup."

More Info Regarding File Extension Qbb
If you come across a .qbb file accidentally and don't use the Quickbooks software, then it is likely that the file is mislabeled. This type of file is coded differently than a normal text editor can display, and is mostly unintelligible to the average human. A hex editor must be used instead, but this still may not help you. The only way to be certain attempting to dou what it is that you're dealing with is to purchase or download and install the Quickbooks software and open it from within the program itself. In most cases, simply attempting to double click on a .qbb file icon will not open the backup, even if you do manually choose to open the program in Quickbooks by right clicking on the icon and choosing the "Open with..." dialogue. From within the program, choose "Restore.." from the "File" menu at the top of the program window. Navigate through your computer's file system to the .qbb file you want to open and select it.
As mentioned before, the time was taken to integrate backup functionality into the software for very good reason. Making backups of your critical files is surely wise, but if you truly can't afford to lose any of your data, it is worth the extra investment of making additional copies of all backup files on various different media, including separate hard drives and/or removable media like CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs. Making a single backup file on one place on your hard drive will protect you against accidental deletions of your files, but if your entire hard drive goes bad and the data is not retrievable that single backup is not going to do you much good. Sometimes you will get a warning sign that your hard drive is going bad, but other times the potential exists for complete failure without warning at all. Without deliberate and cautious planning, disaster can strike and eventually will.
At the time of this writing, there are no other currently maintained software packages which use files that share the .qbb extension with Quickbooks. With this in mind, you can be sure that if you are dealing with a .qbb file, it was meant to be opened with this specific software alone. This is the only sure-fire test for verifying the integrity and content of the file. If you are attempting to open a backup file which you have downloaded from across a network, or perhaps transferred from a disk of some sort and are experiencing errors or data missing upon attempting to open the file, it is possible that data was damaged or transferred incorrectly. Try retransmitting the file, and if you still experience the same problems if possible get another copy of the file from a different source so that you can be sure to eliminate the possibility of data corruption on the media or remote server itself; no matter how many times you download a file, if it is already corrupt it always will be. Again, the importance of multiple copies of all backup files stored on different physical locations cannot be stressed enough. A few CR-ROMs might cost a bit, but it's much less expensive than the cost of lost business!
